AVVI Ltd. hereby provides information about personal data that may be collected and processed in connection to the signing and honoring of an insurance contract.
What personal data do we collect?
The following personal information is usually processed in connection to the conclusion and honoring of an insurance contract:
- Full name;
- Personal ID number;
- Contacts: e-mail, address and telephone;
- Address: permanent or current;
- Bank information - bank account number;
- Information about the subject matter of the insurance contract – information about work experience, professional experience, ownership, etc.;
- Health information: information about your health status (diagnosis, medical records, and other health-related documents) provided for the purpose of submitting an offer that is tailored to your needs, signing the insurance contract, and claiming damages.
Why do we collect your personal data?
Your personal data is processed so that offers are received from insurance companies and an insurance contract to which you are a party is signed and fulfilled.
AVVI Ltd. may process your health-related data that is provided for the purposes of insurance claims to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. AVVI Ltd. shall process your health information to draft an insurance contract only with your explicit consent.
How shall we use your data?
The personal data you submit shall be used for the needs of the insurance relationship, so that a number of services are provided, including but not limited to:
- preparation of individual insurance offers;
- payment of insurance premiums;
- processing of claims related to the occurrence of an insurance event and payment of indemnity for damage repair;
- prevention of insurance fraud;
- risk assessment;
- legal compliance, including avoidance of conflict of interest and corrupt practices, and meeting of obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Who do we share your information with?
AVVI Ltd. respects and protects the confidentiality of your personal data. In compliance with the legal requirements, AVVI Ltd. shares your personal data with the following persons:
- the insurance companies when requesting insurance offers (limited personal information is provided);
- the insurance companies chosen to draw the insurance policy (all personal data necessary for the insurance contract is provided);
- the Claims Department of the respective insurance company when filing a damage claim.
How long do we store your personal data?
AVVI Ltd. stores documents, which it administers in connection to obligations under insurance contracts and payments of compensation claims, as follows:
- insurance policies and other documents that are an integral part to them (insurance offers, policy, annexes, etc.) – up to 7 years starting from the date of signing the insurance contract; the term depends on the type of insurance;
- documents related to insurance claims – up to 7 years starting from the date of filing the claim; the term depends on the type of insurance.

What are your data protection rights?
In line with the Bulgarian legislation, you are entitled to the following rights concerting the protection of your personal data processed by AVVI Ltd.:
- to access your personal data processed by AVVI Ltd. and receive a copy thereof;
- to have your personal data rectified in case of incomplete or inaccurate information processed by AVVI Ltd.;
- to have your data erased on your request under certain condition such as: the purpose for the data collection has been achieved; you have withdrawn your consent when data processing is based on consent and there is no other legal basis for processing; your data is unlawfully processed, etc.;
- to restrict the processing of your data in cases determined by the law;
- to object to data processing when it is based on legitimate interest (listed above in this notice) and use this interest as grounds for your objection;
- to data portability which allows you to request that your data is provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format;
- to withdraw your consent when processing of your personal data is based on consent.
You also have the right to file a complaint with a Data Protection Commission when the relevant conditions are in place.
